Wire retainer

If cables are routed through self-drilled holes, especially if they are made of metal, there is always a risk that burrs and sharp edges will damage the insulation or even the current-carrying wires of a line or cable. In addition, in the rarest of cases, the hole produced is identical to the cable diameter. This creates a gap that allows debris to either enter or allow a loose cable to rub against the edge of the hole and become damaged over time.
