Heating cleanly and directly with electricity: Based on this idea, Peter Reiter founded the company ETHERMA in Austria in 1981 and consistently pursued the implementation of the idea over the next few decades. Since it was founded, the company has been pursuing the vision of heating the floor directly with electricity without loss and without a boiler, and thus heating entire buildings with clean energy. It was thanks to the inventiveness and creativity of the founder that over the years new products were created that are still used worldwide today. He was a pioneer in the field of electric surface heating - numerous patents and the design protection of many products were the result of his commitment. The innovative strength in the areas of underfloor and open space heating with the special heating mats for easy, quick and cost-effective installation is the cornerstone of the ETHERMA success story. With the LAVA® design infrared heater, ETHERMA developed a heater in 2008 that not only has a strong design, but also impresses with its efficiency and functionality. The company ETHERMA is still significantly involved in the development of standards and new calculation and dimensioning methods, works together with the ÖVE and VDE on the further development of standards and is actively involved in associations for the acceptance of electrical heating systems. ETHERMA's corporate strategy has been characterized by expansion and expansion of the OEM business since the 1990s. Constant growth and increasing production led to the construction of a new company building with modern offices and a production hall at the Henndorf (Austria) site in 1996. The company is also continuing to strive to expand sales internationally. Another milestone was set with the founding of ETHERMA Deutschland GmbH as a wholly owned subsidiary. Strategic partners such as in Holland, Switzerland and Spain, but also in Australia and the USA help to make the ETHERMA brand known worldwide.
