Earthed coupling

We encounter Schuko couplings primarily on extension cables or on adapter cables for so-called CEE plugs. The Schuko coupling is the counterpart to the Schuko plug. Both together form a safe, electrically conductive, form-fitting and removable connection of cables and lines. Schuko is the acronym for protective contact and corresponds to the plug connections internationally referred to as plug type F. They are mainly used in Europe. Schuko couplings are available in many variants in the eibabo online shop. The differences are, for example, in the material. Some variants are made of plastic, others are made of rubber. There are also models that differ in their IP protection class or color. Unlike the blue and red CEE plugs and couplings, no specific properties can be derived from the colors of Schuko plug connections.
